   From the moment we walked in, this place whispered, “You made the right choice.” A little dark (mood lighting, darling—not flashlight required), but glowing with that cozy, romantic ambiance that says “Yes, we’re bougie, but approachable.” We were celebrating our anniversary and were treated like royalty. No crowns or swords involved but definitely some beautiful bubbly. Appetizer: The caprese? Divine. But let’s talk about the pickled roasted red peppers. They didn’t come to play. They showed up to elevate. I didn’t know I needed that zing in my life, but now I can’t go back. Main Course: The spinach ravioli was so good I briefly blacked out mid-bite. Delicate pasta, sauce like a dreamy cacio de pepe love letter, and enough flavor to make my eyes roll back (in a socially acceptable way). Truly the best ravioli I’ve ever had—and I don’t say that lightly. I’ve met a lot of ravioli. The fettuccine with tomato and asparagus was equally stunning. Balanced, fresh, and had that perfect “I’m simple but secretly complex” personality we all aspire to. Dessert: The apple galette was golden, flaky perfection and came with a hazelnut gelato that made me pause for a second and whisper “wow” to absolutely no one. I would fight someone for another scoop. Atmosphere: Live music! A talented vocalist with the kind of voice you want serenading your pasta—though I do wish they turned her mic up a smidge so we could fully bask in her brilliance. Final Verdict: 10/10 would recommend. Will absolutely be returning.

   In our experience with Marcelinos, there is no better authentic Italian food in Phoenix! The atmosphere and the service is amazing.  If you’re lucky enough to get a reservation on an evening where SIMA, the chef’s wife, is singing you are in for a treat. Marcellino’s is consistently great every visit we’ve had.

   Old school Italian restaurant; chef owned. Make sure to look at the pasta specials platter. They are incredibly delicious. Service is polished and swift. Kudos to Angel for his table side skill.

   What an amazing restaurant! We are from California visiting Scottsdale and I decided to take my wife there for her birthday and were we amazed at the food! WOW! I cannot brag enough about the food it seriously was probably the best Italian food I have had outside of Italy. The service was top tier, and the ambiance was the most relaxing and fun we have experienced especially with the jazz band playing with the wife of the chef as the lead singer! The music was just the cherry on top of what will go down as one of the finest meals we have had anywhere. In fact, we are not planning another trip around eating again at Marcellino's. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant you will not be sorry. Thank you

   This was my fourth dinner at Marcellino. We do not live in Scottsdale or we would be there all the time! Our dinner was delicious as usual, we both had specials, the burrata appetizer was phenomenal too! Our server Angel was so professional and watchful for any need. I highly recommend Marcellino Ristorante. Charming setting, fabulous food and always a lovely experience.

   This restaurant is an amazing gem!!! Our waiter, Marcos, was fantastic, helping us pick out the perfect wine and understand the incredible choices for dinner. The pasta is made in house along with the desserts. I was celebrating a significant birthday, but two others diners were celebrating 90 and 100…the Maitre D, lead the entire restaurant in song. My wife and I enjoyed spending our last night in Scottsdale at this iconic restaurant.

   I went there with two other guests. We are Japanese. I selected the best available Barolo and Montalcino wines on their list. When the owner-chef came to greet us, I asked him to suggest food or cheese for Barolo. Then, I got parmesan and slices of pears. I wish it were the best Parmigiano Reggiano. But the paring wasn't impressive. I ordered a simple pasta with garlic and olive oil before the main dish. The pasta was just boiled and served without garlic, ample olive oil or any condiment. It was replaced, though, the taste was not impressive at all. As an appetiser, I ordered Carpaccio, which was just meat without any condiments. I did not taste any lemon dressing. I ate Filet Mignon as the main dish. It was OK. Due to the best wine we selected from the list, the final bill was $1,850, including the gratuity. You know how I felt.

    The waiter was overwhelmed by customers. We waited a long time. Also, it's probably the most expensive pasta I've ever had. It's good, but I don't think the value proposition exists. First, they wanted to seat us where they were having music inside where you could not talk because it was so loud. Then they sat us outside right in front of the band's spotlight inside. Our dining experience took over two hours. We had one drink and a glass of wine. Even though I'm from the Midwest and don't mind paying for excellent food, which was good, this is the most expensive pasta I've ever bought. My entrée was to have lobster in it. We had to take a magnifying glass to find it.
