The food, drink and service was except, as always! My only input is I wish they dimmed the lighting a little to create a more intimate ambiance. When you go on a date it would make it more romantic IMO. We will be back!

Great experience… Love the food and service. A little bit too loud for conversation, though.

Arrachera very tasty. Struggled to cut it with the knife provided. Guacamole great. Dipping sauces for chips mediocre. My wife liked the tortilla soup. Our friends thought it was the best Mexican food they’d ever had. Strange location,at the entrance of the Majestic Theater. I ve been to the Mago in Bolingbrook which is much more Mexican and restaurant-like. Crew painted to resemble corpses to celebrate Day of the Dead week. Not very romantic being served by a corpse.

This was our first time dining at Mago, and we happened to visit on Día de los Muertos. The restaurant had festive decorations, and some staff members were in costume with painted faces, which added to the lively atmosphere. Despite the restaurant being busy, we had a reservation and were seated right away. Our server was attentive, and the food arrived quickly. The Frozen Margaritas were big enough to share—at least for me! The Ropa Vieja was outstanding, definitely the best we've had in the area. My husband and I shared the chicken fajitas and Ropa Vieja; while the fajitas were delicious, we both wished we had ordered more of the Ropa Vieja—it was that incredible! Highly recommend for Mexican food in the Arlington Heights area. It was worth the drive from Glenview for sure! We will definitely go back!
