Wife and I came here on a rare date night. My wife had high hopes for Lou & Mickey's, as I have been here a few times, but she has not. I spoke very highly of this place, which made her excited about trying it. The night started out really slow, which was surprising because the restaurant was half empty. We were seated at a table in the bar. It took the server a long time to come and see us, about 20 min. She apologized and took our drink and appetizer order. The drinks came out pretty quick, but the appetizer took forever. The waitress came by multiple times for how long it was taking. On her 3rd apology, she told us that she had notified the manager and that it would be out soon. During the time we were waiting for our appetizer, we placed our our dinner order. We waited another 30-35 minutes for our dinner to arrive once our appetizer was finished. The waitress apologized again for "everything taking so long." We finally received our dinner and my steak was undercooked. Med rare instead of medium. She apologized and offered to take it back and have it cooked longer. I hesitated because I was afraid it would take a long time to get it back. She talked me into letting her take it back to the kitchen. I was hoping it was the end of this LONG dinner, but the check took just as long to get to us and get picked up. For a fancy place like this, the service was sub-par and very disappointing. May have to scratch Lou & Mickeys off of our restaurant options list. I'm not sure we will be back.

First time dinning here and it was amazing. The food was delicious, To start we had the iceberg wedge salad, the Caesar salad, both delicious. The iceberg is big enough for two people. Our meals were the 12oz filet and the sea bass. The food is delicious. We ended the meal with the key lime pie and a cappuccino, great way to end.

My wife and I decided to have a good Christmas Eve dinner after church and chose L & M. First off, they used the regular menu, which was great. The service was outstanding and as always the food was fantastic.

I have been to this restaurant before and I loved it!!!! But we made a reservation for 4 at 715pm on Xmas eve and it was a very bad experience. It took about 20 minutes before the waiter even came to take out drink order, and then the table sitting next to us with four people had drinks and their entire meal before we even got to order our entrees. The menus were not removed from the table for 1.5 into our sitting. Once we got our shared appetizers- which we explained we were sharing, we had to wait to get sharing plates they didn't bring them to us automatically, also didn't not bring replacement silverware! We still did not have drinks when our appetizer food was served. When we told our server and a hostess (who came over to talk to the other table) that it was taking too long she and the waiter simply explained that our steak we ordered was sooo big that it was taking a long time. FYI we asked for a 30 ounce but waiter said they were out of that so.....we just got what we got I'm not even sure how many ounces it was!! Overall it just seems they were understaffed. We were there for 2.5 almost three hours, our bill was 435.00 and we only got one drink a piece we would have had more but they never even asked. They all knew and saw it was all taking a great deal of time for us---but didn't offer to take anything off the bill and or do anything special for us, we were the last guests to leave the restaurant. I think we just got granted the slowest table of the night! I would not go here for a special occasion unless you want it to be not so special. Barbara Holliday 818-679-2272
