We arrived about 5 minutes after our 11:45 am brunch reservation. Only 2 couples seated at that point.
Beautiful space, great calming atmosphere, nice jazz music at the perfect level.
Very nice menu with multiple brunch options and extensive drinks menu.
We selected:
- the mediterranean omelette ( came with grilled potatoes, peppers, onions and toast);
- the latke benedict eggs, with salmon;
- the pancakes (with guava chunks, mixed berries, white chocolate sauce);
- greek salad.
Omelette was excellent; fluffy, nicely seasoned. Potato, peppers and onions were ok. Could have contained less onions and more peppers but didn't detract from overall.
Latke benedict eggs with salmon were great with egg perfectly cooked and latke cake nicely seasoned and crispy. Was a bit short on the salmon but still very good.
Pancakes (2 'pan' cakes) covered with guava chunks in a nice sauce and surrounded by berries and bananas were great. Texture was more cake like but combined well with the guava. Comes with maple syrup but really not needed. This could almost qualify as a dessert and went well with americano coffee.
Greek salad was solid...fresh and authentic.
Service:
This experience would have been 5 stars all around but the service was just a bit off/ slow. This was surprising as the restaurant never had more than 5 tables occupied when we were there. Also, on previous visits service has always been great.
However, great experience overall and we will continue to visit!
