We all very much enjoyed our experience at 1789. We have a variety of cocktails, all of which were tasty. The small plates and entrees were also delicious.

The food and service was great. Unique dishes that were very well prepared. They were able to accommodate my wife’s soy allergy without a problem. The location a short walk from the DuPont Circle Metro station is a plus.

Sometimes the greatest luxury is when something simple is done absolutely flawlessly. Our anniversary dinner at Black Salt fits that description. The service was attentive, but not intrusive. The restaurant is open to individual preferences and tweaks. The food was extremely fresh, cooked to perfection, and delicious. Portions were not huge, but satisfying, and beautifully plated. We had oysters, steamed clams, red snapper and fried Ipswich (belly) clams. The oysters were fresh and they had about eight varieties to choose from. The clams were served in a nice garlicky tomatoey broth. The fish was perfectly grilled and lightly seasoned to bring out the flavor. The sides were delicious in themselves. Every vegetable in a medley of mixed vegetables tasted exactly like that vegetable should taste. I suspect they had been cooked and seasoned separately and then joined together at plating. A purée of turnips and parsnips was light and tasty with a nice parsnippy sweetness. A simple salad was fresh and perfectly dressed with a light house vinaigrette. A cranberry orange flan served with a fresh fruit salad completed the meal. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed our dinner.

It’s always a delight to dine at the Bombay Club. The food is excellent and the service is attentive without being intrusive. And to top it off, noise control is excellent which made it easy to hear my dining companions.

I’m so impressed with this quiet little gem of a restaurant! This was my and my husband’s second time having Ethiopian food, and our first was 25 years ago. Das is located on a side street in Georgetown, with a great view of M st. The food is absolutely delicious! We started with the shrimp tibs, I had the veg sampler and hubs had chicken infillay. Service was impeccable, vibes elegant, and the whole experience was perfection. A must do!

Food was great as always but the service was subpar. We had to ask several times for our water to be replenished. At the end he asked us if we would like dessert, which we then ordered and he came back to say the kitchen was closed (it was only 9 pm even though their website says 10 pm for Thursdays).

Appetizer options include crispy crawfish fritters, barbecue shrimp and wood-grilled oysters. Besides oysters, house specialties have a decidedly Cajun flair, with items such as seafood gumbo, crawfish etouffee and Gulf Coast Redfish, all of which have an amazing balance of spices.

Great set and perfect fresh oysters! Cool space. Also had Hangtown fry brunch entree, something new and delicious. Did not have alcohol but will try that next time

Went on a lunch date with my wife and this was our first time at The Pembroke. The ambiance was fantastic. The service was second to none! We received customer service during our lunch that barely exists these days. They treated us as long time valued customers. The food, while on the expensive side, was phenomenal. We will be back again.
