Really wonderful menu! Burrito and prosciutto were delish and short rib and veggie main dish was wonderful. My son enjoyed his pepperoni pizza as well. Fried Brussels were good but way too much sweet teriyaki sauce for me personally Would have preferred it be served on the side if I had known.

My mom and myself had a wonderful time at Glo restaurant and it was our first time there. Melissa was a super waiter and her recommendations were spot on for both of us. When you go to a restaurant for the first time sometimes it is best to just rely on your waiter's recommendations after explaining your desires and tastes? I loved the ambience and the layout of the restaurant which offered most tables as preferential seating. Excellent bar setup which also works well for single diners? All the staff from the Hostess and the others working there seemed to be very helpful and nice to their diners. The views are great, especially during lunch when the sun is shining. Both of us really liked the menu and I believe anyone can find a good, tasteful meal here. We will both be coming back soon, probably for dinner this time. I am just sorry that I didn't make the effort to dine at the Glo much sooner because I had heard in the past that it was an excellent Victoria restaurant. Thank you again Melissa and the team at the Glo and we really enjoyed you all taking care of us. Cheers Art and Sonia

Classic comfort cooking takes center stage thanks to a fire engine red rotisserie that roasts all manner of proteins. It’s chicken that’s the star here: served in quarter, half or whole portions, accompanied by classic sides basted in jus.
A decidedly adventurous wine and cocktail list rounds out the menu. My husband and I have now gone to the lake house for our last two Valentine’s Day dinners and both times we were extremely happy with our experience! The food is great, the portions are fantastic and they have a great variety for a holiday menu. The only reason I gave 4 stars on ambience is because it can feel a little close quarters. They fit a lot of single tables in for Valentine’s Day so it is a little cramped.

The Mic Mac Bar & Grill is a family-owned business that began in 1963. At that time, all of the meals were made by the owner’s wife who, incidentally, started off with no experience.

By 1966, Mic Mac Bar & Grill had become a local watering hole for men, but ladies arrived on the scene in 1974. The Mic Mac Beverage Room has become famous for its delicious home-cooked meals, especially its steaks, and provides excellent dining in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

We attended the long table Christmas Eve dinner. Food was excellent. I wasn’t fond of the goose, however the duck was good. Roasted vegetables, potatoes, and dessert were excellent. A very nice evening. Very nice wine pairings. Will return to try the regular menu.

For the past 10+ years we have leased our family property to Quails gate to grow their grapes. We have never taken the opportunity to come for a meal in the Old Vines before and wanted Moms 82 birthday to be special. It was delicious, service was outstanding. We will need to come more often for sure. One of the best winery restaurants we have been to over the years.

As always an incredible spot -- great food, incredible service (our service individual was so incredibly polite, attentive and very willing to go out of their way). The restaurant focuses on little details -- they had someone cleaning the entrance every time on a very snowy day in TO. They even had broken down the snow banks from the curb so people could load and unload right in front of the restaurant.

Really enjoyed the new look and new items on the menu. We were a bit disappointed though that several menu items were not available. Our friends even checked the menu online to see what was available. The choices they were going to make as well as mine were out of stock. Too bad as we were interested in trying the schnitzel. That being said, Mirella was amazing. Very quick, helpful and funny. She made the night better. Thank You.

As per usual, a lovely dinner at River Cafe. Hadn’t been for a while, so brought our guests to enjoy with us. Round of cocktails were great - unique and tasty. Beet and pea agnolotti appies were delicious. Our friends have a garlic sensitivity and the kitchen was amazing about it and made them a special fish dish without garlic. Much appreciated. The artic char and tenderloin entrees were cooked to perfection and very delicious. Our server was great - helpful and attentive. Freezing cold walk over made it that much more cozy inside. Still always cringe at the bill ($420 for 4) but worth it as a treat.

I ordered the fetaccine Alfredo and my husband ordered the winter salad with blackened chicken. We were very pleased with our meals. Tasty, fresh, and filling. The staff were attentive. Even at night the view across the lake was stunning. We will be back again and again.

Outstanding restaurant! We were seated in a cozy circular corner booth, very comfy and conducive to conversation. The servers were fantastic, very friendly and attentive. The food was exceptional; we all raved about our meals and savoured every bite. I enjoyed boneless ribs with a delectable prune sauce and maple glazed parsnips, DELICIOUS!!! The atmosphere was lovely, quiet enough to talk and had a great vibe. The only thing we noticed was that the lighting was a bit too dim to easily read our menus, but that was all part of the wonderful ambience. 5 stars all the way!

We had a fabulous early Valentines date. Exceptional service (thanks Mel!) and attention to detail. We loved the cocktails, burrata, carrots, ricotta gnudi, and rib eye steak (best chimichurri sauce ever!). Perfect finish to the meal was the sticky toffee pudding. Lov Laval used to be one of my favorite all-vegan restaurants, so it’s disappointing to see the changes in both the menu and food quality. I understand the shift to include vegetarian options—if it helps keep the restaurant afloat, it’s better than seeing another vegan spot shut down. That said, the quality of the vegan dishes has noticeably declined. Even staples like the burger and fries are smaller and far less tasty than they used to be. As someone who continues to support vegan-friendly restaurants despite these challenges, I really hope Lov Laval can improve and reclaim the excellence it was once known for.
