The best food experience in a long time, the waiting staff was courteous and very knowledgeable with wine and olive oil recommendations. Food is full of flavour and highly recommend a couple of starters, a pasta to share between two and main course each. We tried the prawn and 3 pepper linguine for pasta, monkfish and grilled squid as mains with few starter and star of the menu bread and olive oil taster. Worth mentioning the calm and slow pace of bringing our food, did not make us feel rushed in anyway! for 2 of us we had the table for over 2 hours 30 mins, which is great as you don’t get to see that in London these days. Brilliant experience overall ! Thank You Team!

the quality of food was good. i think the portion size was right! i would have preferred the smoked salmon to have been sliced thinly. The main course of turkey would have been better if the veg , gravy and cranberries were served in seperate dishes and a jug to add what one wanted. the desert was well designed but the overwhelming lemon flavour was not mentioned in the dish of pistachio honey slice -which unfortunately put me off what i was looking forward to. The staff were helpful but possibly over run. we were glad we came and my fellow diners enjoyed their food. thank you.

Food was spectacular. Only odd and negative point was that after gladly paying the discretionary 12.5% service charge I was asked to tip on top when presented with the card machine, being told that this additional tip would go to a smaller number of the staff as opposed to being divided by all as the original one was. Suffice to say I felt a bit awkward then and really somewhat pressured into handing over more money. So a meal for two with no alcohol ended up costing me £40 for service which I thought was a bit rich. In short, I don’t think you should be asking for more tips on top of an already paid service charge.

About the restaurant
Rossella is the pride and joy of owner and local Kentish Town resident Luca Meola, the result of family tradition dating back decades:

1960: the Meola family opened the first Rossella restaurant in Benevento, Italy, combining products from their family vineyard with their love for food.

1978: Luca’s father moved to the UK, made London his home and opened a trattoria where young Luca learned the ropes and discovered his talent for cooking.

2011: Luca seized the chance to open his own restaurant aged just nineteen, naming it after the original Rossella restaurant in homage to his roots, and was swiftly embraced by the Kentish Town community. Not only linked by name, they share the same family feel, passion for simple classic Italian dishes with fresh ingredients, not to mention wine from the same family vineyard in Benevento!

Booked Frederick's for the first time, for a celebration meal. I had been outside many times but never been in. The venue is much larger than I thought. Staff were attentive but not overbearing. The food was very good. We were on the Christmas menu and between us we had starters of squid, scallops, crab, and mains of halibut, chicken and cod. All were good and we just had enough room to share a couple of desserts (the pecan cheesecake and bread and butter pudding). I'd highly recommend Frederick's and will definitely book again.

Great food, well balanced spices. Especially enjoyed the paneer tikka, black dal and delightfully fluffy naan. The chicken curry was mild but very flavorful and the old fashioned was well made. My wife enjoyed the prawn curry a lot as well. The only minor improvement would be in the chicken malai kebab, which was bit bland.

About the restaurant
A modern, glass-fronted Indian on the burgeoning strip between The Bedford pub and Balham High Road, Indian Room has found itself something of a haven for couples. It must be the serene whiteness (table linen, walls) and candlelight. Then there’s the health-conscious cooking using as little as oil as possible. Well worth trying are the handful of dishes unique to this popular local restaurant, a wonderful apricot chicken Kashmir among them. Chicken madras, and a super-hot chicken vindaloo are consistently the most-ordered of the ‘All Time Favourites.’

The food was excellent and service impeccable. The food all tasted fresh and wonderfully seasoned. They were spot-on with their heat ratings. The restaurant is long and narrow and a bit tight. It was lively and fun for a group but it might not be your thing if you are looking for quiet or romance. It was perfect for what we were looking for. I would gladly return there for a meal.

The staff and service are always good at Brix and this visit was no different. Tis is my first roast in a while there were no complaints apart from the "burnt" cauliflower cheese...not sure if this was on purpose but I would amend the menu if it is. Cocktail were great as usual. Highly recommended and ill be back soon

The food was delicious and really reasonably priced (as were drinks - £30 bottle of nice rose in central London is fab!) but most of all they have really nice staff members who were so helpful even though I felt they probably needed an extra pair of hands - our waiter was looking after all the tables, plus making drinks (and my cocktail was delicous!) thanks
