The steak was not cooked to my request and was not a very good cut. The manager was great and offered to take care of my concerns

About the restaurant
Ruth’s Chris is definitely in the running for the best steakhouse in Birmingham. Situated in the lobby of the Embassy Suites hotel, it is a popular choice with both hotel guests and locals. The convenient location just off the Red Mountain Expressway between the Homewood and Mountain Brook neighborhoods makes it a central point no matter where you’re coming from. The interior features deep, rich reds and accents of teal and copper throughout the dining room. You can’t go wrong with any one of their specialty cuts and they also feature plenty of delicious New Orleans-inspired appetizers and sides to pair with your steak!

We dined here for my boyfriend’s birthday and arrived just 15 minutes before closing, but the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. From the kind girl at the front desk who greeted us and sit us . Alex, who immediately served us water, and the manager who took the time to acknowledge us—it was an exceptional experience. Our server, Michael, truly made our night special by making us feel so welcomed and never rushed and of course help us with the menu . He encouraged us to take our time and communicated with us throughout the meal. The environment was warm and inviting, and the food was absolutely delicious. I only wish we lived closer so we could come back more often, but I’ll definitely return if I’m ever in the area again!

About the restaurant
Texas de Brazil is definitely the best steakhouse in Birmingham for those looking for great steak with a side of Brazilian flair. This Birmingham establishment dishes out delicious meats and also serves a number of gluten-free dishes for those on a special diet. Take a seat in the elegant dining room and turn your place card to green. Then, sit back and watch as carvers serve generous cuts of beef, lamb, pork, chicken and Brazilian sausage until you’ve had as much as you can eat. They also have plenty of appetizers, sides and a long list of wines and cocktails to pair with your meal.

Delicious meats. The servers, though, do not abide by the go/ stop Chios at the table which can be a little annoying. They speak really quietly which is a problem when trying to decide whether or not to day yes/ no to their selection.
