Beautiful restaurant, with the most welcoming, warm and knowledgeable staff. My husband and I enjoyed a birthday meal here and were treated like royalty. The staff couldn't have done any more to make us welcome and could instantly answer all of our curious questions around the menu. We were also treated to plentiful freshly made bread, amuse bouche, a surprise mini birthday cake and petit fours, all in addition to our ordered food. If I could have given a 4.5 out of 5 on the food I would have done, the 4 was just due to quite a small range on the menu (which is fantastic if you love fish & game, but a tiny bit limited if you're more of a traditionalist - and this means we'd be limited to which of our friends we could invite to dine with us), BUT I have to say everything we ate was beautifully presented and tasted exceptional. It was a really special meal and we'll definitely be coming back.

Good value roast dinner. One small issue - they advertise unlimited roast potatoes, Yorkshires and gravy. We asked 3 times for extra gravy as the meal was quite dry. The gravy did not come and there was no explanation or apology. Otherwise, it was all good.

About the restaurant
The three Michelin-starred restaurant Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester in Mayfair, traditionally the smartest address in town, represents a new approach to fine dining. Professionalism and attention to detail are always paramount, but there is a new aura of whimsy and pleasure as well. The restaurant’s spectacular, elegant interior - by design team Jouin Manku - and breath-taking dining experience has enchanted London’s gourmets and critics. For most mortals, a meal at Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester is dining for special celebrations, and the sublime quality of the food and the easy pomp of the service live up to expectations. Favourite dishes include Native lobster, artichoke and Périgord truffle or Cornish turbot, Kalibos cabbage, chestnut and clementine.

Amazing experience! Outstanding service, and provides excellent detail about thought process behind each dish. Excellent taste. Could use a texture. The duck was outstanding. The steak could’ve been a bit more moist and juicy, but was cooked perfectly otherwise. The triple cooked chips were fantastic, especially with the mushroom ketchup.

Critical acclaim has been heaped upon Galvin La Chapelle, a true destination restaurant and with good reason. This fabulous dining spot, just off of London’s famous Bishopsgate is the work of celebrated Chef-Restaurateur brothers, Chris and Jeff Galvin, and epitomises their approach to designing and running restaurants in every sense. Indeed, Galvin La Chapelle has all the wow-factor of Windows with the stylish refinement of Galvin Bistrot de Luxe while carving out its own very unique character at the same time. The interior is truly special, as is the food – cosmopolitan, continental and wholly elegant every step of the way, creative but familiar, special but unpretentious – no wonder Galvin La Chapelle was named Tatler’s Restaurant of the Year 2010 and AA Best London Restaurant 2010.

The restaurant has such an interesting background, with this being documented in a book celebrating their 30+ years of opening. Wonderful staff, both front of house and in the kitchen. The passion for food is at the fore front, with David and his team showing this as soon as we entered. The relaxed customer service, partnered with exquisite fine dining is what makes Pied a Terre so special. And for it to only be awarded with one Michelin star is an injustice. We offer a la carte and also a Tasting Menu at lunch and dinner.

Wine is as important as food and service at Portland. Our main wine list aims to offer brilliant value on interesting, different wines which we hope you seldom see on restaurant wine lists. Our Single Bottle List contains bins of some of the world’s finest wines and also more accessible offerings from our favourite producers.

Apart from the main restaurant, we hope that our private room and its offer of secluded and separate dining is just the thing for special family events or business meetings.

About the restaurant
Chef Sebby Holmes launched Farang back in 2016 after trading at street food markets throughout London. A year later he took up temporary residency in Farang's current home in Highbury & Islington. After excellent reviews, he took on the space permanently after his step-father retired and since, has gone from strength to strength.
Farang was recently inducted into the National Restaurant Awards top 100 and awarded a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand, which we have kept four years running. We also received the Thai select award from the UK Thai Embassy which certifies authenticity and the freshness of our ingredients.
We’re a young team of enthusiastic individuals, who over the last few years have bought our passion and skills to the table.
Parties of six and larger, kindly contact the restaurant directly for reservations. These larger groups will be offered the shared feasting menu only and a deposit of £10 per head needs to be taken to confirm the booking, which will be deducted from your bill.

Food is very good, not so much in the ala cart menu . If you want the full menus, there is a wide choice and for vegetarian as well. The tasting menu must be taken by all the table so we let it go

Great experience all round but the service was exceptional!! The menu changes daily, but I think there are always lots of plant based options. If the Jerusalem artichoke, onion & raclette dish is on the menu, this is a fantastic riff on traditional Swiss raclette! Loved the concept of shared tables, plates to share, good and reasonably priced wine list.
