   Lemaire is located within the Jefferson Hotel which is decorated beautifully this time of year. We both had the salmon which is imported from Scotland. Excellent. Also ordered a side of potatoes with gribiche and cornishons. Very good! The truffle gateau dessert was off the hook good. If you’re in the dining room behind the bar it can be a little loud. This place was packed due to being near Christmas. Absolutely beautiful hotel.

   The food was great, the ambiance was great, but our server Jacqueline was the best part. She’s very personable, gave fantastic suggestions, and made sure we were comfortable and happy throughout our meal. I would go back just to see her again. Great experience.

   Outstanding service. Outstanding food. Cannot speak highly enough about each! And it was a very busy holiday evening and yet, the staff handled it all professionally and graciously. Food came out - we got the Rockfish - divine! - it was cooked to perfection and came out hot. Oysters on half shell to start were delicious. Not a bad thing to say about the meal, except maybe a recommendation for the crafted cocktail menu...perhaps include one more vodka or gin option. Very bourbon heavy and for two folks who are not keen on bourbon, some alternatives would've been great. We turned a non-alcoholic drink into an alcoholic one by adding some Tito's. This is merely a suggestion and does not reflect our experience with the food or waitstaff which again were superb.

   Always a lovely experience, especially at Christmas! Our party of 4 was seated in the library. The walk from the front door to the restaurant is glorious during the holidays. Our server, David, was cordial and knowledgeable, albeit a little "stretched" as they were very busy and down a couple servers for the night. The fried oysters (appetizer) was really good - crispy/crunchy outside and tender and silky inside -- accompanied by a little country ham, bread and butter pickles, freesia, small stewed tomatoes and a delicious, slightly spicy, sauce - all four of us had this! I had the Lemaire burger, which I love, and it was perfectly cooked at medium rare - two in my party had the tenderloin which they said was also cooked a perfect medium rare. One said their steak was nice and moist, the other said, while delicious and tender, was a little dry. The 4th in the party had the scallops - she had them last time she was there and loved them. Didn't disappoint - she said they were delicious! We were too full for dessert. The only negative was not really Lemaire's fault - I went to the front desk to pay for my valet service and the young woman told me she would rather I did it through the app. I told her I did that last time and you have to register again and fill out a lot of information, I would like to just pay my $18 in cash with her. She looked at me and said, "I prefer you use the app". Does not seem like her training in providing quality service at The Jefferson was completed! Overall, you can't beat Lemaire for a classic dining experience.

   We were seated in the bar area although we had requested the dining room. It was a 50 minute wait for our meal to arrive. It was not very hot. The lunch scallop entree included only two small scallops! Unbelieveable. After waiting 40 minutes for our dessert to arrive we hailed the server and cancelled dessert. Our group of four was very unhappy with our experience.

   We had a lovely lunch in a beautiful setting. The food and service were exceptional. The prices were quite reasonable for the quality. We will definitely go back again.

    The oysters were a fabulous shared appetizer. My scallops were divine and our shared desserts were just wonderful. A unique dining experience for lunch. I can't wait to come again.
