   Given past experience, when I made reservations, I asked for the table on the right side of the fireplace in Enrique's area of responsibility. With the weather cold and drizzling, my buddy and I were greeted wonderfully [thank you!] by our host as he brought us to the alcove next to the fire. French Onion Soup was first up...a bowl of steaming super flavorful soup dressed with a molten mass of Emmenthaler...all while croutons below were absorbing the amazing flavors of the caramelized onions in the soup. Escargot was next...they were tender and swimming in what I really order escargot for and that's the buttery herb bliss [think liquefied garlic here] that was sopped up with ample pieces of rustic sourdough…good enough to request a second. My buddy requested a salad and tuna tartar...at the end his plate was spotless so I'm guessing he really enjoyed both. This meal certainly nourished the soul [fingers crossed the garlic in the escargot offered some cardiovascular protection against the molten Emmenthaler]. Also, the Larkspur LB has the best fresh squeezed lemonade I've ever had [multiple glasses later, my opinion is again validated]. And while we did not order it this time, if you love cheese the fondue with brie, blue, and goat cheese made with Madeira wine and served with a side of raw veggies my buddy ordered [I went for the chunks of sourdough] is delicious. Oh, and we finished the meal off with the ice cream-filled profiteroles…deadly delicious! The food was great...and again what made it an epic cold day lunch was Enrique G. and his team. Enrique and those he worked with were never intrusive, but also never let us feel like we had been abandoned. The wonderful human interaction and experience made my buddy and me feel like we were sitting at home in Enrique's kitchen. At the end of the day, our meal was amazing not only because of the talent in the kitchen [bravo to chef and team], but because we were made to feel like family. Wonderful!!!

   Our family is big on traditions so when we came into the Left Bank 3 years ago to celebrate our engagement we knew we would be coming back if all went well. We were met with delicious drinks served in elegant stemware. The escargot brought us back to the flavors of Paris where we got engaged. Oysters were tasty and our main courses were enjoyed by everyone. We would be back. And we've been back numerous times. Sadly yet to have the same delightful experience we had the first time. The last 3 visits the only things that have endured from our first visit are the oysters and escargot. The service has declined. The main courses are missing something in the flavor department (don't get the paella) and I have yet to have my steak come out as ordered - med still coming out rare. The Petit Pont used to be served in a beautiful french champagne glass with etched designs. It's now served in a very sturdy (coke bottle) martini glass. As they say, the juice isn't worth the squeeze. The cost and value received isn't matching up anymore. Left Bank has lost it's charm.

   The server was great but unfortunately the kitchen did not receive our entire order so I got my food and almost finished eating g before my husband got his food. With that said the manager never came over which put everything on the server to explain ( although she was apologetic) this is the situation in my opinion where a manager should come over!

   The Salad Verte was a small bowl piled with huge pieces of lettuce and topped with very oniony dressing. It was impossible to mix or cut or serve from the small bowl. The waiter didn’t bring the right utensils or the correct bowl for empty shells for the mussels, the Brussels sprouts on their menu was a “mistake” - told to us AFTER the rest of our food arrived.

   too noisy. too crowded. service suffered had to keep asking for water. Have come to this resstaurant a LONG time. used to walk from Mill Valley to Left Bank. Partner French. Im fluent in Spanish. Restaurant too busy. lack of service as before. fluent in Spanish. my favorite croquet monsieur eating forever, Told NOT available any more on weekends. We used to walk weekends. Croque Misseur for Me. Crogue Madame. for my French partner ove the people there I am fluent in Spanish. Guess I shouldn't come on weekends anymore or stop coming all together, I wrote same review last time and no change

   On a cold, rainy night, Left Bank, and it's cozy fireplace and interior, was the perfect place. Just bring back the Boeuf Bourguignon! Cassoulet is always awesome.

   Everything was fabulous. They had live music. It wasn’t so loud that it disrupted you. Tons of choices. Waitstaff was super helpful and nice. Great drinks. Can’t wait to go back.
