Lechon is a South American dining experience that seamlessly combines the fiery cooking of Argentina, Chile and Patagonia, along with creative inspiration of the chef. Enjoy perfectly charred 28-day dry-aged ribeye, grilled octopus with chorizo, housemade piquillo pepper and pork empanadas, slow roasted lechon, refreshing ceviches and smoked bone marrow.

Executive Chef Jaco Smith consistently pushes the boundaries on traditional Latin fare by incorporating wood-fired flavors into his cuisine while boasting a view of the Willamette River that few Portland restaurants can offer. Smith comes from a large family of cattle, sheep and grain farmers. He started cooking at a young age in his mother’s kitchen. His favorite childhood memories include the tastes of dulce de leche, flan and grilled breads, reminiscent of South American flavors and commonly found on South African kitchen tables.

First experience at LeChon. Girls group. We ordered the bone marrow - it was the first time for all of us to have bone marrow. It was fabulous. We also had the Peruvian chicken, brisket empanadas, fried olives and almonds. All was fantastic. I highly recommend the bone marrow. The wait staff were the best. Very attentive and helpful. Even the Chef took a picture of us outside when we left and asked us about our experience. Overall a wonderful experience. I highly recommend.

Such a great meal! Took my wife for her birthday and we were in love, our server was amazing the food was amazing. Overall a great experience would 100% be back! By far the best meal I’ve had in Portland in years. As a former chef I appreciate the attention to detail that each dish had. Seriously an amazing experience and meal

Food was delicious- everything was great. Cocktails were also a highlight and our server was warm and attentive. Didn’t like sitting right next to the door (we were freezing). Besides that it was a 10/10!

Food was great. However, we were seated right next to the kitchen and it was a bit noisy. The food and the cocktails made up for it.

The food was amazing as always. I usually visit LeChon for special occasions, and this time didn’t disappoint. Food was amazing, service was over the top, and the ambience is perfect. Definitely will be coming back.
