    this was our second time at Lark and the first time we didnt do the Pre Fixe menu. It was a quiet night but Ava took good care of us and we had a good meal, as expected in this scion of the seattle dining scene. I thought the entrees were a bit overpriced given the size of the portions, but otherwise we were very happy.

    Excellent food and service. Main dining room is beautiful. It was a shame that we were seated out the back near the bathrooms which was cold and lacked atmosphere.

    Service from the waiter was great. Other servers repeatedly tried to take plates away which we hadn't finished with. So many times it was dumbfounding. We wanted to enjoy a relaxed dinner with friends but the staff just keep trying to take our food away. It wasn't after closing time and when we were finally finished, other diners were still at their tables. We were not the last patrons to leave. Super annoying. We will think twice before returning.

    The food was delicious & the servers were attentive. We had the elk chop, salmon, rigatoni, squid ink pasta, snake river steak, beet salad, oysters & chawanmushi. Everything was done well & presented beautifully. Highly recommend!

    We ordered half a dozen or so small plates for the table to share, and every single one of them was outstanding. The larger dish that we had - squid ink cacarecce - is a new menu item since the last time we dined at Lark, and was unbelievably delicious. Creme brulee cake was the winner for dessert. Our server was very attentive, paced the courses well, and made sure we were out in plenty of time to attend a performance we had tickets for. Chef John stopped by the table to chat for a few minutes as well. We really couldn't have asked for better food or service. Can't wait for our next visit to Lark.

    The food simply wasn’t good. For the price, it was certainly not worth it. The steak was rubbery and a rare when I ordered medium rare. The salad was bitter. The cake was dry. The service was rushed and inattentive. It was lovely ambiance and staff was certainly nice, but this was not a fine dining experience by any standard.

    Lark is a very nice spot for special occasions. The service is outstanding - prompt, knowledgeable, and unobtrusive. The location is a bit challenging for driving and parking, although our car's navigation system got us there just fine. The food was good, but not commensurate with the prices in my opinion. The menu offerings were limited but carefully conceived and artistically presented. As seems usual these days, asking for a steak to be cooked "medium" got me a blood-rare serving of otherwise good meat. I used to request "medium-rare", but I fear that would get me steak tartare. We like to bring our own wine for special occasions (all of us are wine collectors), so Lark's two-bottle limit with a $50/bottle corkage charge is a turn-off. Given the location, the prices, and the corkage policy, I doubt that we'll return to Lark anytime soon.
