Wonderful food and a warm, inviting ambiance! The crowd tends to be more mature (40+), and the staff went out of their way to make my friend feel truly special. The food was exceptional, and I have to highlight the carrot cake—it’s a must-try, even for someone like me who doesn’t usually enjoy carrot cake. Highly recommend!

One of my favorite places to go for casual dining in Alexandria. The food and ambiance is perfect for any occasion. I have never had a bad experience with the restaurant.

We had a business dinner at Laporta's and it was a big success. Our server, Denise, was very accommodating and professional, and the food was excellent! There were eight people in our party and everyone raved about how delicious their meals were. About halfway through our dinner, the piano player started playing, and this added a nice touch to the ambience of the restaurant. I highly recommend Laporta's.

The food, service and ambiance were all first rate. We went for an earlier dinner and the value isn’t quite as good if you dine before the live jazz starts.

Food and service were excellent. The ambience is a bit cold, to better complete the dining experience, suggest using table cloths which gives it a more cozy feel. The jazz trio was excellent and I hope to see them elsewhere. They played wonderful music and in such a way that even when sitting up close, I could converse with my fellow diners. They are the sort of group that would actually bring me to eat at restaurants!
