- JJennyDetroit / Eastern Michigan •5 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoOur group of 3 absolutely loved our dining experience at Takoi! The food was amazing. We went for the vegan dishes and were not disappointed. Lots of food to choose from, and the flavors were wonderful. The space is small and unique. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.More infoTakoiPrice: Expensive• Thai• Detroit•4.8
- TtiffanyWashington, D.C. Area •2 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoAdam is a phenomenal waiter! I initially planned to do the tasting menu, but my party preferred the regular menu option. Appetizers were not as good as I anticipated. We ordered the steak tartare and dozen oysters. I have had way better. Steak tartare was mediocre at best (I would definitely recommend adjusting the recipe). Oysters tasted “fishy” to me. And if you are a seafood fanatic you understand what I mean. The other two in my party didn’t mind them. It was very loud which is understandable for a small place, but it was difficult to hold conversations at our table. We were going to order dinner but I had to leave. So we didn’t get anything else. Lastly, I was told that their drinks and burgers are delicious and your best option. I would probably come back to try that and still ensure I request Adam as our waiter!More infoBar PigallePrice: Expensive• Contemporary French / American• Detroit•4.8
- DDaniDetroit / Eastern Michigan •7 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoAll of the pasta dishes were cooked perfectly and enjoyed to al dente perfection. We ordered 5 dishes -- Gnocchi di Patate (good, but was expecting really over the top and it wasn't); the bucatini, spaghetti de mare, lumache, and the casarecce, were all exceptional. The salad and frito misto were fantastic. The burrata was disappointing, in that it was a ball of burrata and there was nothing served with it (e.g., bread or cracker of something) to eat it. The vanilla semifreddo was the best dessert and the chocolate mousse was good. The budino was odd. The pinot grigio (Klaus Lensch) was great. The rose was so-so. Overall, a good night and an exceptional meal and experience.More infoOak & ReelPrice: Very Expensive• Italian• Detroit•4.9
