Paris House blends modern culinary techniques with traditional foods to create a 6 course tasting menu. Paris House was originally built in 1878 in Paris. At the end of the 19th Century the timber framed building was dismantled and shipped piece by piece to its current home in the stunning grounds of Woburn Park. In January 2014 Paris House was bought by the businesses’ award winning Executive Chef Phil Fanning. The restaurant is managed as a family business by Fanning and his wife Claire.The restaurant’s tasting menus are based around dishes constructed with natural flavour combinations using the best seasonal produce available. Six course tasting menu plus amuse bouche. All courses were excellent, packed with flavour. The Carrots in a Thai broth were superb and packed a punch. I had the scallops for the third course which were excellent but my wife had the Mushrooms as an option they were even better. After the venison course 5 was a very clever palate cleanser (called a Snowball but was a yuzu granita with coconut and eggnog) before the final dessert. Every course has interesting and different flavours. Thomas, Howie and the rest of the staff are as good as they get. Friendly, helpful and efficient. A place for special occasions and a treat. My favorite restaurant.
