Chef Luciano Canova was born in 1949, on a small farm just outside of Rome, Italy. Chef Luciano grew up with his parents & grandparents where good food, using the freshest of ingredients, was always a staple. His passion for food was instilled in him as a small child in his home and led him to attend the prestigious Culinary Institute of Italy. After graduating, Luciano worked all around the world perfecting his craft in places like Switzerland, Germany, and on a luxury cruise line.  The Torre Restaurant Group family of restaurants has grown to serve customers throughout Southern New England with authentic Italian food.     We have been wanting to try this restaurant for some time. Finally made reservation and we were not disappointed! The restaurant is so pretty and cozy. Staff very attentive and friendly. The place had a great vibe - The bar looked very welcoming for drinks or dinner. We sat in the dining room. Our server Danielle was amazing and an asset to this restaurant. We had chicken piccata and chicken marsala and both were so good. We will definitely be back soon!

    Great experience at La Familia- Taunton! Our server Brittany in the bar was so outgoing and made our dinner enjoyable. She gave us the time we needed to decide on the extensive menu, and in between courses. We watched the Bruins (lose-bummer!) but the atmosphere kept us in good spirits. All the food came out hot and delicious! We really loved the Portuguese calamari and the fresh, warm sourdough with the dipping oil was amazing. Overall, great dinner. Don’t skip the fried ice cream- it completed the whole meal!! Prices are on the higher side, but it’s just a sign of the times. Worth it for a special date night or a great meal with the family.
