Several years ago, I decided that my future in the restaurant business would most likely not remain in the realm of fine dining and gourmands, but would rather lean towards the style of restaurant that I found myself frequenting most often - places that provided consistency and quality at a price that was fair for the quality of the food and experience. Public House plays to the comforts of good, solid food, while applying the principles of premium food products to a more casual setting. You will find all the fish is delivered from Foley’s in Boston, high quality steaks and a rotating selection of vegetable sides that are true to the region and season.     Best crabcakes I have had inland and I have tried a ton. Filet trio was tasty and cooked perfectly but believe it or not, my wife out ordered me again with the chicken dish! Bartenders worked as a perfect team as they have worked together for 4 years. Eat at the bar!

    Went there for dinner as part of a birthday celebration with the wife. Our server Patrick helped us with customizing a meal to my wife’s tastes and wants. I had the fried chicken and she had the petite filet. It was an enjoyable meal.

    Food and service were great! The dining room has lots of character. The decor has a few nods to The Walking Dead TV show since both owners were involved in it, but it’s not overdone. Fans of the show will love it, and those not familiar will not find it a distraction. We were there on a Thursday evening and the trivia contest in the bar area could be heard quite well in the dining room, so if you want a quiet dinner check ahead to see what events are taking place.
