Ospi is the sophomore restaurant of Jackson & Melissa Kalb, focused on Southern Italian cooking and way of life. The name derives from ospitante (“host” in Italian), with the expectation that guests will feel as comfortable at Ospi as they would at a friend’s dinner party. There will be plenty of house-made pastas as well as an expanded offering of pizzas. The beverage program crafted by Kalb features mostly Californian and Southern Italian wines and a full bar with a special negroni section. Shrimp was obliterated don’t recommend it but the rest of the food was amazing. Diver scallops were very good. The pasta and salads are great, arancini was on point, spinach was bland but cooked very well. Chocolate Torta is to die for

Another spectacular meal at Gjelina. I've made it my mission to work my way through the menu, and last night I tried the orecchiette with beef cheek bolognese, Japanese turnip and coal-roasted cabbage - all excellent. Special props to the orecchiette. The pasta was perfectly al dente, the sauce was rich and savory and the addition of the dollop of ricotta bound all the elements together beautifully. Loved it.

Sam was an amazing server and food was excellent. I enjoyed the quiet atmosphere for lunch and wish the restaurant had that experience more often. At night it's loud like a nightclub.
