We opened our first restaurant in Castlefield, Manchester in 2004 with a clear aim: To deliver quality food to local customers at a reasonable price in a sharp, modern space with friendly, unpretentious service. Blacklock is a modern take of the Great British chophouse nestled in the corner of a Grade II listed textiles warehouse. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall.     Food was great, only downside was being told from 5.55pm (we booked in at 5pm) was that we needed to be out by 6.15pm and felt like we had to rush our cocktails that we’d ordered at the end. Other than that, really good though. Maybe just worth extending table booking to 90 mins!

    We visited for the £14.94 for two courses lunch. There was a fantastic number of dishes to suit all tastes and specific diets. Each course tasted amazing and the service was first rate with very quick, efficient and very friendly service. Our waitress Jackie was so bright and cheery and was a breath of fresh air. It was my partners first visit to Alberts, Standish and he now says it's his new favourite. Amazing value for such superb food we will be returning very soon.

    Every time I go it’s amazing, not once have I been and not enjoyed the food the atmosphere the service. Nick and Christine efficient fabulous nothing is too much trouble. Get the Meze it’s good value for money and everything on it is amazing
