The first Oven Restaurant, located in the heart of downtown Lincoln, has been around since 1988 and owned/operated by a dedicated family of chefs who have been creating Indian cuisine for over twenty seven years. The Oven Restaurants specialize in Northern Indian Cuisine which is known for its rich colors, flavor profiles and a unique style of cooking in a clay oven, called the Tandoor. Chicken, shrimp and lamb marinate for several hours in a yogurt and spice mixture and placed on skewers while various breads are being hand made by our chefs fresh each day.     The food was mostly good. Not much seasoning was used. Definitely get the artichoke dip and crab cakes. Steaks cooked perfectly but lacking seasoning. Fried chicken was way overcooked and could barely chew through the fried batter. But overall I’d go back for the service, it was the best I’ve had all year. Thanks Maximiliano.

    Nice neighborhood sports bar, great food and drink selections, variety of seating arrangements, easy to view TVs. Probably would have given a 5, but they were showing the Iowa games on all the TVs, and we had to request that they change it to the Husker bball game. They changed a couple TVs to that game, but as we were in Lincoln, at a sports bar, it felt odd having to ask, lol.
