The Ivy restaurant has been a firm fixture on London’s dining and social scene since 1917. The restaurant and private room upstairs are the epitome of real glamour. A shimmering central dining bar in the restaurant draws admiring attention, and the signature harlequin stained-glass windows, oak panelling and striking contemporary art collection ensure the longevity of this very British of dining institutions. Executive Chef Gary Lee creates balanced seasonal menus, featuring Ivy classics, but accounting for today’s tastes, incorporating more Asian dishes, salads and vegetables, and the advent of a “sea and shells” section. Director Fernando Peire leads a strong and experienced team to deliver the unfaltering service for which The Ivy has become well known over the years. The Ivy welcomes customers without reservations at the central dining bar, where the A La Carte and Set menus are both served.

Our beliefs are simple - in a world full of so much terrific food and wine, why settle for a slab of quiche and a glass of boring plonk? Our food is innovative, fresh and tasty... and available at all hours. The wine list speaks for itself - "Legendary for its iconoclastic notes. It doesn"t necessarily tell you what the wine tastes like - you have to make your mind up. It's there to provoke interest", says Harpers, the wine trade magazine. As Barossa wine making supremo John Glaetzer puts it so succinctly, "Don, this is not just a wine list - it's a book". And a readable one at that!

Loved it.. don’t go to the Ivy and think it’s “posh” it’s good food and service with “feel good” menu. Special mention to the service staff, Paulina and the short haired waitress. Creme brûlée needs to be in a ramekin and a crunchy top, not flat and sugary with a blow torch.. everything else is good.. see you soon.

I’m a Hawksmoor fan and a regular whenever I’m in London. Seven Dials never disappoints in any way. I dined pre-theartre at 5:30. Tonight, a senior staff member came to my table - ‘Hi, good to see you back with us again’. The food is always top notch, but Paul’s visit made the evening memorable, particularly as I was alone. See you guys next time Cheers Paul

Went ALL IN for lunch. Perfect amount for 2 blokes washed down with a very pleasant pale ale. The service was excellent, very patient and they dealt with a dairy intolerance with clear understanding of what was possible. Will be going back as I want to try the steaks next. Great value business lunch in a super location.

Excellent as always I choose Cheese souffle which was amazing followed by Ray Wing with capers and a beautiful buttery apple pie with clotted cream and a well priced bottle of Lugana. If you like fish this for me is the best fish restaurant in London and steeped in so much history the staff are always so pleasant
