- JJonathanInverness / Scottish Highlands •4 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoMy wife and I dined here tonight whilst on our honeymoon in Edinburgh. What can we say, except... WOW!!! The service was amazing, the starters were delicious, and the steaks were incredible. All washed down with a tasty cocktail. We've found our go-to restaurant when we're back in Edinburgh in the future. Thank you to all the staff for making our first night in Edinburgh incredible. - EEilidhEdinburgh/Midlothian •3 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoI booked The White Horse Oyster Bar for my boyfriends birthday, as a special treat. From start to finish, our lunch experience was incredible. From entering, we were warmly welcomed by Hubert and taken to our seats at the speakeasy style, bar. Hubert’s knowledge and recommendations were fantastic. The wine he suggested complimented our plates perfectly. The food itself was superior and having booked our table during the oyster happy hour, made it even better. Each dish was beautifully presented, fresh and packed with flavour. The tempura oysters and the buttermilk cod were a highlight, paired with Hubert’s recommendation of the Conde Villar, Portuguese wine, which was a perfect match. From start to finish our whole experience at the White Horse Oyster Bar was one to remember. Thank you to Hubert for making our experience exceptional and to the talented chefs for such wonderful dishes. The White Horse Oyster Bar is not one to miss!More infoWhite Horse Oyster & Seafood BarPrice: Expensive• Seafood• The Royal Mile•4.2

- DDeanEdinburgh/Midlothian •1 review5.0Dined on Feb 26, 2025The hotel is absolutely fantastic, the rooms, sexy , exciting , beautiful and luxurious ( we were in the mid sized room) The treat me like I'm famous package is well worth the money, the cocktail bar, although small, was cosy , sexy and the cocktails absolutely exquisite. The staff were polite and very helpful. The hotel was clean and although, (especially after a couple of drinks) the corridors seemed to never end and appeared to constantly change, it added to the sheer enjoyment of the place and experience The location of the hotel is excellent , maybe 8 minutes from Waverley train station and just off the centre of the royal mile with a 8 minute slow walk to the castle and literally 3 minutes from all the bars and restaurants. We are booking to go back, yet this time I will be booking the suite as I am intrigued to see and bathe in the roll top bathMore infoHouse of Gods Cocktail Lounge EdinburghPrice: Moderate• Bar / Lounge / Bottle Service• Edinburgh•4.4
