Restaurants near Royal National Theatre

Managed to book a table last minute on a Saturday when the restaurant was in full swing. Busy and bustling but not so noisy that we couldn't converse, and service was friendly and attentive. Ordered the cote du boeuf to share and a bottle of Malbec Reserve. Although the chips and peppercorn sauce were a little cold, the flavour made up for it. Enjoyed the sauteed mushroom side. A filling meal and felt like good value for steak in central London on a Saturday night.

Another terrific evening on our way to the 7.30 RFH concert. Four of us. All delighted with food and service. We allowed almost two hours. (5.30- 7.15 left the table) Thanks.

Lovely! This long-established restaurant always meets hopes and expectations. Friendly efficient staff, steaks cooked as requested, lovely ambience --- and boyfriend took me there first in the middle 1970s I think (or early 80s? Thinks it was 70s).The standard has been maintained through every visit AND we have lovely music if we pick our timing right too

Staff helpful. Service prompt. Nice atmosphere. Enjoyed the food. Stuck to the pre theatre menu for economy - except for the pistachio soufflés which came recommended.

Great experience here. Went on a Saturday evening and although it was busy, the way the restaurant is laid out made it feel quite spacious and wasn’t too loud. Food came out really fast after ordering. Only issue was we asked for tap water and didn’t realise the bottle they brought was bottled and £4, however this was to share for the table so not much of an issue, we also ordered a dish after the original order and it took a while to come out as the kitchen was very busy, great customer service though. Our table order lots of bits and shared so value for money was great. Will definitely got again
