The building is a fine example of Early American Dutch rubble architecture featuring wide planked random width board floors, a fire place in each of the main rooms and many small multi-level rooms.The Hoffman House is located at the corner of the historic Stockade district in Kingston NY, and once served as fortification and a lookout. Today the Hoffman House serves a continental fare, featuring steaks, fresh seafood, pasta specialties and homemade artisan desserts. We had a wonderful dinner at Caterina de Medici! The pizza was great - very thin crust and great sauce. My wife's salad was excellent also. The zuppa di pesce was a delight; the fish were all very fresh and tasty and the soup was the perfect compliment. The scallops were outstanding also - just like eating on Cape Cod. Dessert was the tiramisu which was a nice light ending to the meal. The bread and wine were great also; we'll be back for another special dinner soon!
