My wife and I enjoyed Valentine's Day dinner at The Village Anchor and were seated in the covered patio area below. The food was great but a little pricey. French Onion Soup could have been hotter and we found a lack of saltiness to everything but not terrible. The wine was reasonable and they didn't try to upsell. The dessert was huge - really enjoyed that. Friendly staff top to bottom. I had trouble finding reservations for V-Day and this place was busy but not packed at all. The lighting in the covered porch area did not at all reflect a fine dining experience, though - which killed a bit of the ambiance despite the cute Valentine's decor. Overall a good experience and we'll return if I have an extra $200 but for that kind of money I know we could do better. I look forward to brunch as their menu promises a variety of great looking option.

We always enjoy dining at Malones. The food and service are always excellent . Albeit, it was Valentine’s Day. We made the reservation about a month in advance, noting it was a 66th anniversary. We ended up with a table by a very busy door, making it difficult for our parents to hear. I had never been seated in the very back by a busy door. Moving forward, I know what to request in seating when making a reservation.

So tired of fast food joints popping up in Middletown… Thank you for bringing Lou Lou to us! Great Galentine’s dinner with friends - we will be back!

Watch Hill Proper is a must-visit for bourbon enthusiasts and food lovers alike. Their selection of bourbon is vast and impressive, offering something for every palate. The service was exceptional, with Chef Michael Crouch personally introducing the specials and checking in throughout the meal to ensure a top-notch experience. The mussels were delicious, and the special short ribs with brussel sprouts were cooked to perfection. Every detail, from the attentive service to the expertly crafted dishes, made for a fantastic dining experience and evening with friends. Highly recommended!
