My favorite place for our family. we miss the old patatas bravas. We prefer the pyramid presentation

It was our first time visiting here. We celebrated our 38 wedding anniversary. It was a fantastic experience, loved the energy in the room, the food was fantastic. Large portions, absolutely delicious firewood pizza, and the pulled pork nachos. Needed the pizza to go since we were full from the appetizer. The Jack Frost Christmas cocktail was perfect. Absolutely worth the money. Loved atmosphere and the holiday decorations well done.

Absolutely a great experience. Starting with the free valet service; moving on to the bar for a glass of wine before dinner. The dinner, what a menu; plenty to choose from. We started with appetizers, then the server took our order. Just the pace I love. Finishing dinner, after dinner drinks and shared dessert. And to end the wonderful evening, the valet had our car WAITING!! BEST yearly Christmas dinner with lifelong friends. Thank you, thank you.

Overall, wonderful lunch. The server didn’t have the “extra” something that many of the other servers have in their engagement with our table. He was good, just not the top tier. I’d recommend more smiles, chatting casually with us, etc. The food was terrific, great presentation.

Scholar is one of my top three restaurants in Grand Rapids. It truly hits all the categories you want in a nice dinner downtown. Atmosphere and decor is beautiful and moody. Food is INCREDIBLE!! Cannot recommend the Bison Short Ribs if they're still on the menu when you go. Delish cocktails and the staff is kind and. charming. Scholar is always one of my first places to recommend to friends who want a night out. The menu is pricey, for sure, but you're absolutely getting what you pay for! Worth every dollar imo.
