Restaurants near Southside Regional Park

We love Charley G's! Food is always consistently excellent. Husband and I had crab cakes and a cup of turtle soup. He also had the house salad which he said was the best salad he's ever had at a restaurant. We also shared the Cajun smashed potatoes which were delicious. One son had a house salad and a bowl of gumbo. He said the gumbo was delicious but there wasn't enough of it. The other son had the fish special -- sheepshead filet with a crawfish creme sauce with lump crab and 3 fried oysters on top of mashed potatoes. He said it was "out of this world." Charley G's is a great "special occasion" restaurant and the perfect place to take out-of-town guests.

Waiter was amazing and loved the ambience for Christmas!! Tacos were just ok…shells were oily. Drinks were wonderful as usual

Christmas Eve dinner! The food was absolutely delicious. Had the crabmeat cheesecake to start which was excellent. My family ordered the 12 oz steak, grilled Chilean sea bass with caper cream sauce, and the veal shank! My son loved the cheese pizza also!

We had the private little room in the back left corner of the main dining room. Excellent space.

There were three in our party. The calamari was superb! Very light and crispy. We had the tomato basil soup, grilled cheese sandwich, spaghetti and meatball and veal marsala. All of it was excellent.
