Restaurants near South Lido Park

11 am reservations were enjoyed by the six of us. Sunday(s), street parking and the nearby garage parking are free and we took full advantage of that "bonus". By noon, this wonderful restaurant was "hopping" with customers. Our menu selections were all served hot, fresh and delicious. The Scallops Casimiro and Stuffed Mushrooms are a tasty choice for starters. The 1905 Salad is a wonderful dish and this delicious salad can be shared between two people. And finally the Cuban Sandwich -- beyond delicious! A large sandwich so bring your appetite. Our server MAX was outstanding. Very attentive, but not aggressively attentive. Max gave us just enough time in between ordering and enjoying our selections but was quietly attentive to refill water glasses and asked if anyone wanted refills of beverages. Extremely good server - if I could give MAX 10 stars, I would! Value - expect to pay about $25 - $30 per person (beverage included.) TIP: Book your reservation(s) at least 2 weeks ahead of time and enjoy the 11 am time slot for a beautiful brunch. Bring your appetites! Sidewalk tables are available for those who wish to enjoy their Columbia experience with their fur baby or for those just wanting to sit outside and soak up some great Florida sunshine. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We ordered the Valentine sweetheart special, which included a three course meal of our choice. I had a king salmon with gnocchi’s and asparagus, and my date had surf and turf, lobster tail, and fillet with asparagus and mashed potatoes. I had lobster bisque for appetizer she had strawberry salad and then we split a lava cake With chocolate and ice cream scoop on top. Everything was very good. Then afterwards he went to the bar and had a glass of wine for a nightcap and then drove home my first time at that place and it’s a gorgeous location on longboat key looking forward to going back again

We enjoyed a lovely dinner at Dry Dock for Valentine’s Day. The restaurant was busy but the team had everything under control. We were greeted immediately and taken care of promptly at the bar for cocktails as we waited a very short time for our table. Our server was informative and efficient and went above and beyond to make us feel at home and understand the menu. Our food was amazing The snapper served right off the grill and the side veggies perfectly cooked. The jambalaya was piping hot and delicious. No room for dessert this time but the key lime pie was so tempting! 5 ⭐️

Ocean Prime has wonderful food and service. Rebecca was awesome! It was our anniversary and we were greeted with a glass of complimentary champagne when we entered. We sat in the outside section that is covered and has screens, ceiling fans and heaters for all types of weather. I’m not sure how warm it would be on a warm summer evening, but it was perfect last night. The noise level where we were seated was fine, but as we left we noticed the noise inside was quite loud. There were alot of people at the bar which probably contributed to that. As a senior, I’m not sure sitting inside would be pleasant for those that may have difficulty hearing. Our view was good but they are beginning to construct a large condo building right next door to the restaurant. So I have concerns about the view while they continue to build and am unsure what it will look like when the construction is complete. And while everything was almost perfect, the price is also out of this world. For 2 people to have a couple of drinks, one appetizer, 2 mains with sides and 2 desserts, and parking, the price was almost $500 before tip. All that said, it was a wonderful anniversary dinner. We had another awesome evening at Blu Kouzina. After being ushered to an ideal table at the edge of the outdoor porch, we ordered their outstanding taramosalata, and saganaki with figs for appetizers. Both exceeded our expectations as usual! My husband can never resist ordering the lamb giouvetsi…and once again it was the best he’s ever had…and we eat a lot of Greek food. I had the chicken kabob…so juicy and flavorful, that I’ll probably order it again next time! Our server Ivana was wonderful and recommended an excellent Greek red to complement our meal. We’ll be back soon!
