Judith is a new American tavern pairing warm hospitality and the cooking of James Beard Nominated Chef Julia Sullivan (Henrietta Red in Nashville) located in the quiet area of Sewanee, TN near the University of the South. The name is an homage to Judith Ward Lineback, the first woman to matriculate into the University in 1969.As Sullivan’s first solo project, Judith will feature a seasonal menu of creative and approachable dishes including a selection of small, shareable plates perfect for the bar crowd. The beverage program mirrors the food with accessible wines and a cocktail list created by Henrietta Red's Beverage Manager Patrick Halloran.The warehouse-style building, previously the Old Steam Laundry which serviced the University since the 1950’s, has additional space for private dining and parties. Our experience at Hennen’s was top notch. This was our first time visiting the restaurant as we wanted to do something different for our anniversary and we were not disappointed. Our waitress Dana was very attentive without being overbearing. The food came out perfect and was delicious. My was got the scallops and I got a 3 piece fish special which included mahi mahi, salmon and haddock. I like a little spice so I should have asked for a little horseradish but that’s just me. We hope to visit again soon!
