- TTimothyJacksonville / Northeast Florida •17 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWhile my children were visiting from the west coast, we scheduled a day for visiting the Ancient City and walking the galleries, St. George, and the holiday lights. At dusk we made our way to Old City House for a 7:00 reservation. It was a perfect choice! Convenient to city center, yet a step inside revealed a calm, relaxed, intimate setting for a perfect family outing. Two of us had the seafood cioppino, which was superb, loaded with shellfish and a wonderful tomato-based broth. My daughter's lamb shank was perfectly done, savory and tender, and more than she could finish. My adventurous but demanding son had the octopus, which he completed in complete silence. It was the perfect setting for a perfect evening. I can highly recommend this venue without a single caution.More infoOld City HousePrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• St. Augustine•4.7

- EElizabethVIPJacksonville / Northeast Florida •772 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoThis was our first time back to the historic house (formerly owned by Maria Jefferson Shine, Thomas Jefferson's great granddaughter) on Bridge St. since Preserved closed more than a year ago. My husband and I wanted to eat on the porch and a table was reserved for us there but the wind and drizzle made us change our mind and sit inside. The lunch menu is rather pricey but the quality of the selections is in line with the pricing. We split a cup of the Minorcan chowder - best we have ever had highlighted by he smokey tomato broth and abundance of clams. For our entrees, my husband ordered the Royal (burger with frites) and I had the Cesar salad. Both of us were pleased with our selections. We had hot tea (several Tazo varieties to choose from) to accompany our meal. Alex provided outstanding service including refilling cold and hot water (for the tea) when appropriate. The wine list is extensive so my husband and I will be back for dinner soon. Highly recommended..More infoLa NouvellePrice: Moderate• French• St. Augustine•4.9

Perfectly cooked with a smoky, tender finish, the quality and flavor are simply outstanding. The warm atmosphere and attentive service make the experience even better. If you’re in St. Augustine, don’t miss this culinary gem! 5/5 StarsMore infoAsado LifePrice: Moderate• Grill• St. Augustine•4.7
- AAliciaSouthwest Florida •3 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 23, 2024Our party was a little early for our reservation, however we were seated immediately. We were given light-up holiday hats for everyone in the party because we made a reservation online. So cool! The ambiance was lovely, all decorated for Christmas, a cool little bar, and awesome holiday themed cocktails. The waiter was very attentive. Amazing food! Get the burger! One of the best burgers I’ve ever had! The shrimp bisque was also quite good. My only negative is the price, but I’d rather spend $150 for a meal that supports a small business, with quality hand-crafted food than pay the same for a chain restaurant of the same predictable menu items. We love St. Augustine and come up every December for Night of Lights. We hope to visit Forgotten Tonic again next year!More infoForgotten TonicPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• St. Augustine•4.8
