We had an amazing dinner and dessert. The chef makes everything in house including the desserts! We were lucky to enjoy a jazz band that made threats enbiance amazing. It's a must do anytime of the year, you will love it.

It’s a lovely atmosphere which is most of what the experience is about. The high tea was tasty and enjoyable for what it is: very small portions of typical high tea food. It is quite expensive for what it is but I think everyone knows that. The flight of Prosecco, blackberry wine and cider was a nice treat.

This is a lovely place for lunch. Great parking and accessible to those with mobility problems. The view is amazing .

Arrived at 7pm and had reserved a place in the corner so I could enjoy a quiet dinner with my date. The server was excellent, no rushing whatsoever (I later found out the kitchen closes at 8pm). Drinks were served promptly and dinner was hot and delicious, (I had the smoked chicken in cream sauce on pasta - very tasty). Then I notice most of the patrons were gone and that's when I found out it closes at 8pm,it was 8:15. She said, 'no rush, can I get you a cup of coffee'. We had a lovely evening and left at 8:36pm. I rarely if ever give a 20%tip - that night was the exception. I will go back for sure.

We enjoyed a delightful birthday "Bruncheon" with group of friends at Alpina today. Although the dense mist shrouded the view towards Finlayson Arm, we sat in the bright picture window and enjoyed the feeling of being in the clouds. The food was delicious and arrived promptly without any of us feeling rushed. We lingered for quite a while over our brunch, but never felt pressured by our very attentive server. We were moved by the lovely finishing touch at the end of our meal: a special birthday message in beautiful script from the kitchen accompanied by chocolates! It was a very nice way indeed to end a happy Sunday meal. We look forward to returning soon to this special place which is closer than we thought to Victoria but feels a world away.
