On the doorstep of the bustling Borough Market, the first Casa do Frango lies within a converted 19th-century industrial warehouse, a building full of character, complete with vaulted ceilings, arched windows and relics of the past. Casa’s menu is inspired by the rich culinary history of Portugal and the wider Mediterranean. True to Portuguese tradition, there is an emphasis on cooking over a wood-charcoal grill.     Food was great! Every tapas, ( pastel bacalhau/ alheira pastel) main dish ( pork, picanha, bacalhau à Brás) was beautifully cooked. Very authentic and the desserts were simple but that’s what really we were looking for. Pastel de nata as usual never disappoints especially with the canela ice cream. I am Portuguese therefore I am able to judge authentic food and I was happily surprised with quality. Service was kind and attentive. Highly recommend

    Ambience was festive and very beautiful. Staff friendly and knowledgeavble of menu. Food was fresh and lovely. Must try the turkey dinner it was lovely and filling. And the best thing of it all each person provided with a card for return

    Ahhh you lovely Hawsmoor folks, you still maintain a really high standard. There's plenty of competition around these days but my heart is with you. The service was friendly, attentive and personable. You didn't constantly refill my wine glass, pushing wine hard happens in virtually every restaurant these days, I hate it. You cooked the steaks perfectly. You made me feel like a king. Thank you. Good luck to you all as the wave of Xmas bookings hit you. Hang tough! Merry Christmas! Brook

    Service was excellent from the moment we arrived. We had the Sunday roast £25 offer which was good value for money and very tasty. The jazz singer was lovely too. The only thing is it gets incredibly noisy because of the high ceilings and industrial design. Would recommend though because of service and food.
