- JJulieSan Diego •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoWe thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Bull and Bourbon. And it was a dining experience. We didn’t go to Sycuan for any other reason. Our waiter, Daniel, was knowledgeable about the wine I asked about and our food choices. He was on the spot with anything we needed as was everyone else. This appeared to be the case at other tables too. While the prime rib special portion isn’t as thick as shown in some advertising, it’s very good, as are the sides. We ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer, which was excellent. Also ordered the basic Mac & cheese - very good. The atmosphere is really special. Someone put a lot of thought into the decor. High end yet comfortable. We’re definitely going back and are looking forward to it.More infoBull & Bourbon SteakhousePrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• El Cajon / Lakeside•4.6

Our server, Josh, was excellent and showed a wonderful combination of being accommodating and giving us our space. It was an added positive getting to know Josh a little. He is a great server and a very personable addition to Brigantine's staff.More infoBrigantine La MesaPrice: Moderate• Seafood• La Mesa•4.8

- AAndrewSan Diego •30 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 21, 2024We had our wedding reception at this location in 1977. A lot has happened over the years. Floods have washed away parts of the golf course, buildings, and parking lots. Children and relatives have worked at the facility. Our church holds its annual Christmas party here. Needless to say, we have strong feelings about this resort and the people who work here. The breakfast menu is a bit sparse but with creative items on tap. If there's nothing to your fancy, ask; they can probably accommodate you. My favorite is the "Chicken and Waffles". All of the dishes are amazingly fresh and big enough to share. Prices are still on the cheaper side, compared to a typical breakfast out. The view of the golf course is serene, with trees, flowers and water features. You have the option of eating in the restaurant, on the back terrace or on the shady side patio adjacent to the full-service bar. The wait staff are amazing, with attentive service. It is rare to have to ask for a refill of anything. That usually only happens when there are several large family groups (be sure to reserve ahead so you won't be disappointed with a long wait). We can't say enough good things about The Red Tail. Try it.More infoRed Tail Bar & GrillPrice: Moderate• American• Crest•3
