Standing high above the city on the 10th floor of the City Club Apartments, at 309 Vine Street; resurrected from the history that has stood here before our time, Shires' Rooftop is inspired by the first amusement resort in this part of the country, Shires' Garden. Though the original Shires' Gardens burned to the ground, "in a most picturesque fire," the legacy that was left behind is everlasting and an integral part of the Queen City's history.     My girlfriends and I ,instead of buying presents, go out every year for a really great dinner for Christmas. This restaurant really hits all the buttons. From melt in your mouth steak, fresh sushi and succulent lobster tails. Wait staff was excellent. Great vibe. Would definitely recommend this iconic restaurant.

    We were in town for my daughter's graduation from NKU and spent a lot of time online for a nice restaurant that would accommodate 8 people. After a long search, we were fortunate to have find Shires' Rooftop. Our table was ready as reserved (although some of our party was a tad late due to downtown parking and inclement weather). The atmosphere was perfect, the food was excellent, and our server Mara did an excellent job taking care of our needs. She checked un us at reasonable intervals without being overbearing. She anticipated our needs (that were normal for a party of 8). If were in the area again, we'll certainly dine there. I would suggest reservations if you are dining there and be aware of crowded parking in the downtown area.

    Oh sooo good! Taste of Belgium 🇧🇪 is excellent! The service was phenomenal. They did not hesitate when we asked to be seated in a different type of seating, the wait staff was always available while never hovering. The coffee, pastries and of course the waffles were simply perfect 👌🏻 Couldn’t have asked for a better brunch on graduation day!
