Restaurants near Plymouth Playground

The Pearl is a great alternative for dining at Water Street that provides more value than some of the high dollar fine dining stops in close proximity. A little less formal than some of the other options, the food and service are excellent and consistent. The menu is interesting. The newly added Snapper dinner was awesome. Keep up the good work Pearl people and we’ll keep coming back!

Steak Tartare was really good, the cream soda Negroni tasted like cough medicine - but the other cocktails were superb and strong. The shrimp was good but wished for more biscuits instead of two small ones. The burger was lacking on the pickled onions and the lettuce made it taste like the Big Mac lettuce. The sauce and buns were good as well as the patties.

Once again, a truly memorable experience We were seated on time and greeted by our waiter within minutes. As usual, the food was great. At our table, we had pork chops , ribeye, and strip steak. Everything was perfectly cooked to our preferences. The fried green tomatoes, as an appetizer may have been the best fried green tomatoes we have ever had Ivan, our waiter was amazing. There when needed, but not intrusive. Definitely will be coming back soon. 

Went for Thanksgiving dinner. Busy but the wait was acceptable. Once we checked in it went very quickly. Our waiter was Ben. Very friendly and professional. Ben explained the menu and the variety of choices. He was attentive checking back in reasonable intervals. Andrew was our server and every bit as professional as Ben. They work well as a team. Aside from the wonderfully enticing regular menu which was difficult to pass on, we went with the Thanksgiving menu. It was after all Thanksgiving. The turkey was tender and moist with a nice cranberry sauce. The stuffing was very good as was the butternut squash puree. There were also two crusted lamb chops. The food was excellent. To sum it up, the Meat Market is a great experience. Not only great food, but you're in a trendy neighborhood, great for shopping, people watching. When combined with Ben as the server, it makes for a very memorable evening.

This is our 4th year in a row having our Thanksgiving meal at The Columbia. We really enjoy the Thanksgiving dinner and the pitcher of sangria. However, this was the first year my husband wasn’t able to swap one of his sides for something else. He was cut off immediately when he made the request and was told no. It kind of dimmed the mood for a moment…as we were used to them always so accommodating to us in previous years. It was such a shame, they chose to waste some of the food over letting a customer get what they want, but oh well. Overall, everything else was perfect. We will definitely go back next Thanksgiving and continue our tradition.
