Our friends and I make excuses to come from the Boston area so we can eat at the Puddle Dock (Usually we see a terrific show across the street at The Players Ring). There is nothing I don't like about this cozy place. The fireplace, the perfect lighting and noise level. Then there is the food. We've never had a bad meal. They have super delicious cocktails as well. I wish they stayed open until 10. It would be nice to go for a cocktail after the show. The service is also top notch. The dark chocolate pudding was so good, I want to sell my house in Boston and move to Portsmouth just so I can be closer to the pudding. Yes, I'm highly food motivated.

The Duck was a standout— perfectly cooked and packed with vibrant, harmonious flavors. I also appreciated the wide variety of options, catering to both adventurous eaters and those who prefer more familiar choices. Overall, Massimo offers a wonderful dining experience that combines excellent food, top-notch service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I can’t wait to return and try more from their menu! Our first visit and we were very pleased. The vibe when we first walked in was consistent with the toscana brand. Nice to look at and comfortable to be in. We had a drink at the bar before seating. Great vibe! Our table was in an ideal space for us, and the service matched. The food was also consistent with the toscana bran, dependably good. This chop house was actually a notch above their others. I had a mixed grill which is ideal for a first visit. My wife mushroom ravioli. We enjoyed the food, the service and the vibe. Look forward to our next visit.
