Amazing food and unique variety of items to choose from and reasonably priced for the quality of food. Only negative would be seating. There are a lot of high top tables and for those whose legs can't handle dangling, be sure to request a regular table and not a high top. That being said, they were EXTREMELY accommodating in moving us from a high top to a regular table.

This was our first visit to 17 and it would have received 5 stars across the board, but we were a little disappointed with our entree. We had the steak and we liked the preparation, but the actual cut seemed tough and not in line with everything else we were served. We left wishing we had ordered something else. The service was top notch; friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is just what we want for a night out. We could hear each other without competing with other noises. Our appetizers were delicious, the custom drink I had (Carolina Green) was so good. We were staying at the hotel, so we also had breakfast the next morning which was definitely a 5 star breakfast. We tried to get the secret to the chef's potato hash. We will definitely come back in the future and just not order the steak.

Sydney was very pleasant and helpful in making our dining experience more enjoyable. We were both rather stressed after an unpleasant concert experience at Bon Secours and looking forward to a relaxing, cozy dinner which we found at Soby’s and Sydney was very accommodating. She was attentive without being overly so. The butternut squash soup was absolutely delicious as my wife’s pork chop and my shrimp and grits for which Soby’s seems rather well known! No wine tonight as we had a drive back to Keowee and the only dessert was black decaf coffee. Soby’s is the first restaurant we ever ate at in Greenville 10 years ago so rather nostalgic for us. It is quite noisy but also quite busy on a Friday night so expected.

The food is outstanding. Honestly, the best food I had during my 4 days in Greenville. Fresh ingredients, creative blending of flavors, and excellent portions for the price. I couldn’t stop raving about the perogies and winter salad. The cherry cobbler was a wonderful added delight. I must go to in Greenville.
