My mom and I were celebrating mom's 80 th birthday. I had put notes on the online reservation that it was mom's birthday and that we would like to be seated next to the window in the rotating section. Our server, Faith, did an outstanding job of recommending appetizers and entrees. We had the hallumi cheese and the crab cakes appetizers and the salmon entrees. Everything we ordered was prepared to perfection. I asked for the salmon well done and crispy on the outside and it was FANTASTIC. Mom got the key lime tart as her birthday surprise with a candle and happy birthday written in a chocolate piece ontop!!! I got the chocolate cake. The key lime tart was better than any we had in Florida!!!. The cake was decadant and the size of the entire plate. Faith has the best customer service skills and was very attentive and engaging. Honestly she made our night so enjoyable, along with the spectacular view of Louisville sunset and Ohio river and OFCOURSE the DELICIOUS cuisine. The other servers that took our empty plates and refilled our drinks were so attentive as well. Thank you for making this occasion so special and taking such good care of us.

We have been to both locations of Steak and Bourbon, while we enjoyed the food at the initial visit we absolutely LOVED the vibe of the downtown location! The live music was also excellent, it added to our overall enjoyment of the experience. I do wish that the pace at which our food came was a bit slower so we could enjoy even more of the evening. The downtown location we will definitely visit again!

Always an excellent experience coming back to Jeff Ruby’s! Food, service, ambience all excellent! Josh was our waiter, and he was very attentive. It was a pleasure having him as waiter. Graham helped with other duties and was also very attentive and a pleasure. The food delicious as always!

Had a wonderful birthday celebration lunch for my dear 85 years young friend and her awesome family! The service was outstanding thanks to Ruben, the cocktails oh so tasty, and all of our lunch selections were delicious and plentiful! Enough for dinner later! The large round table was perfect for this kind of small gathering too! We all will be back!! Many thanks!

We opted to try Proof On Main to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary during our annual visit to Louisville. Routinely, we had our anniversary dinner at Swizzle. However, when we were unsuccessfully at securing a reservation at Swizzle, our search for an alternate led us to Proof on Main-we are glad we did! Not only were we able to get a last minute reservation on X-mas eve, but it wasn't packed, adding to the intimate ambience we were hoping to experience. Our waiter, was not only knowledgeable, but he was verry attentive and detailed with his recommendations; which were spot-on. I cannot remember the last time I savored every bit of my meal.
