- MMichaelVIPSan Diego •53 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoThe Henry was hopping! Excited New Year’s Day energy all around. The high power energy of the customers was equally matched by the staff. The host station was on top of things and our waitperson, Enrique, insured the drinks, the meal, and the dessert were all served with a smile. Great spot. This is probably our 5th meal at The Henry over the last two-years, it never disappoints.More infoThe Henry - CoronadoPrice: Moderate• American• Coronado•4.8
- JJoelleVIPSan Diego •11 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWe had a lovely new years brunch (though I do wish they actually served brunch fare). Everything was very delicious! The service, while very friendly and accommodating, got a little slow toward the end as it got busier, which is understandable. It would’ve been okay except we were in a booth that was one of two they have for parties of six but maybe six short, slim people? Pretty uncomfortable, especially in that corner spot, I spent the whole meal with my arms up over the back of the booth. I’m chubby but the rest of my party were regular sized men and one slim woman and we all felt squashed. But otherwise, a beautiful meal on a lovely day.More infoSenecaPrice: Expensive• Italian• Downtown•4.7
- SStephenVIPSan Diego •7 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoThe great news: service was excellent, food spot on. We had bread (must have), beets, and a charcuterie plate to start, which was plenty for four of us. All was excellent, but the charcuterie was the standout: perfectly balanced, beautifully presented, and even came with notes so you knew what you were eating. For dinner, we had filet mignon, wagyu skirts, and a ribeye. All were superb and cooked exactly to specification. Desserts and drinks were also very good. The less fabulous: We asked for a quiet corner since it is a busy and crowded spot, and while we were in a corner of the private room in the back, so was a loud party of 6 or 8. We asked if they could do something, but nothing was done. Parking: Even at 5:30 on a Sunday, it was not easy to find a spot close by.. If there'd been valet, we'd have definitely used it. All in all, we'd do it again for a special occasion. The manager did listen to our noise issue, and acknowledged it impacted our experience tonight, so I don't expect it to happen againMore infoCowboy StarPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Downtown•4.9
- AAngieSan Diego •1 review5.0Dined 5 days agoThe ambiance is very classy. All the food we ordered are exceptionally flavorful. They really elevated Filipino/Asian cuisine. Highly recommended are Pork Tocino, Taiwanese Chicken, Kare-kare, and Turon Tart. Lastly, service is outstanding. We didn’t have to ask for anything because the staff are on top of things. We’ll definitely be coming back for more awesome dining experience.More infoAnimaePrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary Asian• Downtown•4.8
- EEthelynSan Diego •5 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 25, 2024Attended the 5-course Christmas Eve dinner. It was worth every penny- from start to finish it was coursed beautifully, ingredients were fresh and cooked perfectly to temp, plating was festive and colourful; and all this with just the right timed check-ins from my bartender/server James. The couple next to me did the wine pairing and everything was explained nicely and paired well... along with some fun history & stories- I opted for the cocktails which were creative and utilized some lovely ingredients as well as being well balanced.More infoCallie RestaurantPrice: Very Expensive• Mediterranean• Downtown•4.8
