The Hop Vine formerly the ‘Royal Hotel’ was built in 1874 and was the main stopping off point for goods being transported to and from the old Turnpike road the A59. The Royal as it was known has served the community and travellers alike. To the rear of the building in our historic Cobbled Garden you will find our own brewery housed in the stables which were used for the horses and stage coaches as they passed through the village. From Ales to YPA’s, to Blonde beers we are a small producer using primary English hops brewing exclusively in house for The Hop Vine and our sister pub the Legh Arms.Our countryside sister the Legh Arms is our latest addition to the family and is situated in the pretty hamlet of Mere Brow. Here we serve our trademark delicious home produced quality food and excellent home brewed ales.     After being greeted with a warm smile we were shown to our table. Shortly afterwards our drinks order was taken. Our waitress returned to take our food order, then our drinks were delivered. Our starters were all delicious. Our four beef roasts were outstanding. Tea & coffee to finish. All in all yet another wonderful dining experience. Great staff, great service and great food, what more could you ask for…

    Always great. Atmosphere and service amazing as always. Bar drinks lively. Starters amazing, masala prawns and crab croquettes. Main chicken nice, main halloumi salad rubbish, all leaves no halloumi burnt cauliflower. Prices so reasonable.

    Wow what an amazing night from start to finish staff were amazing so lovely from the greet to the Waitors everyone was so friendly and helpful , a lovely young lady took us on a tour which made the night even better it’s absolutely beautiful inside , the food was delicious and you get alot considering we went for the 3 course special we loved everythink the crem brûlée was the nicest I have ever had . We can,t wait to go back fabulous that’s all we can say .
