Restaurants near Mendota Amtrak Station

There were 6 of us dining on a busy Christmas Day for dinner. The place was very busy but our server James did an excellent job taking care of us. Out cocktails came out quickly and the food was delicious. We all had a great time and I look forward to dining at Mia Moto again soon.

A friend recommended Hardware since we were going to be in the area. It’s a bit of a drive from us, but I’d definitely go back. We were seated in the heated patio area. The heater was a little loud and without, it was drafty but the fireplace was warm and beautiful. The drink menu is whiskey & bourbon dence but we had a nice red and a couple of really good local beers to start. We ordered 4 dishes and shared . My favorite was the brisket which came with the best potatoes I’ve had in a long time and served with just the right amount of a delicious sauce. Korean pork fried rice was another great pick. The salmon on the salmon salad was the right smokiness. The least favorite was the pork tenderloin which was perfectly prepared but needed a better sauce. The atmosphere and service were great. Their mission is commendable and something worth supporting.

Our family of 3 went for Christmas Eve. The food was outstanding, house wine was delicious, desserts were fantastic and the service was excellent. I have been to other locations of Cooper’s Hawk but I have to say this one stands out - the ambiance is very nice - elevated but comfortable. We had a wonderful time and would absolutely dine here again.

Would recommend sandwiches: ribeye and hamburger were excellent! Shrimp and chicken dinners were overcooked and lacked flavor. Waitress and bartender were excellent! Large glass of wine was greatly appreciated! We’ll definitely go back for house-made dessert’. .

I am a platinum rewards member, so it was “all you can eat shrimp” weekend. The food was really delicious. I only ate once, but my husband ate plenty. The service was great, the drinks were good, and the food was seasoned well. We will be back soon.
