- AAndrewVIPCincinnati / Dayton •28 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoThe experience at Sotto is amazing. The service coordination. The primary server. Everything was top notch. There is a lot of good Italian food of many different styles in Cincinnati. Sotto has to be considered one of the top. Nothing on the menu is an "afterthought". Everything is well executed. There were three of us and we decided to eat family style. I recommend this as you are able to taste so much more than you would ordering your own. We had a salad and two bread dishes to start. The chicken liver mousse both creamy and crunchy while being sinfully savory. We had two pastas and my favorite is the "worth-it" pricey tanjarin with melt in your mouth black truffles. It is so earthy and rich, but not overly so. The special of the evening was roasted whole chicken thighs. While I would have preferred the skin a bit crispier, the flavorful thigh meat along with roasted potatoes and artichokes more than made up for it. Dessert was also shared - ricotta doughnuts, cherry sorbet, and panna cotta. We had a hard time choosing our favorite. The doughnuts are always a hit - these are beignet-like but a bit more moist in the center, no doubt from the ricotta. The dipping sauces of caramel, pistachio, and chocolate completed the dish. My personal favorite was the panna cotta with a cherry compote topping today. I would be remiss not to mention the beverages. I went from local hefeweizen-style beer to an Italian white blend and finished my meal from their selection of "limited offerings". I was happy to be able to try the Old Rip Van Winkle 10 year. This was a special treat for my birthday. My wife and teenager partook of the mocktails. I tried these too and they were excellent - inventive and tasty.More infoSottoPrice: Very Expensive• Italian• Central Business District•4.9

- OTOpenTable DinerOrlando / Central Florida East •2 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoDelicious food and good service. Started with the creamy and delicious ricotta with the bread. The little pops of salty flavor balanced out the slightly sweet creaminess of the cheese. Husband loved the pesto. My limone pasta was a little too Al dente, but the shrimp more than made up for it. Best shrimp I’ve ever eaten in my life. We’ll be coming back to try one of their gigantic meatballs and try the butternut squash pasta dish. And of course have more ricotta and bread! Atmosphere was chill. Mostly quiet, beautiful art-deco but modern interior. Tables weren’t on top of each other, either.More infoPepp & DoloresPrice: Moderate• Italian• Over the Rhine•4.9
- JCJaneCCincinnati / Dayton •3 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoLove the ambiance of The Davidson and especially all the windows looking onto Fountain Square area. The food is good and the vibe is fun. I would recommend that you stay away from their special cocktails. I have ordered one during each of my visits and they both have been underwhelming and light on alcohol so not worth it.More infoThe DavidsonPrice: Expensive• American• Central Business District•4.6
