Restaurants near Luxury Apartments a short walk from Times Square

The food was delicious! French onion soup is a must, perfectly melted Gruyère and a generous amount of soup. I also had the Croque Monsieur which was so filling and beautifully melted. Great ambience, attentive staff and we were not rushed. Made for an absolutely wonderful family get together. Will be back!

La Masseria is an old favorite of mine, so I chose it given its proximity to the theater we were heading to directly after lunch. Our train was 30 mins late arriving into Penn Station, so a very short lunch ensued before the matinée curtain. We were seated immediately and our server was attentive and understood the assignment, suggesting dishes that worked with our time frame. The wine was great, our food was fresh, hot, authentic and delicious. Our server Giuseppe (sp?) was wonderful and got us out on time without making us feel rushed, which was artful.

Our first time at Becco. Lovely cozy atmosphere. Feels like being in Italy. We needed to make a 1:00 theater, and our waiter was very attentive , personable and accommodating. Menu selections are ample. Prices reasonable. I had the bransini white fish with leeks and roasted potatoes. Partner had the pasta trio. Becco house Caesar salad comes with is outstanding Everything was delicious. Will certainly recommend to our friends.

There were 10 of us & we had made reservations at 5 pm as we had 7 pm theater tickets. Our table was ready for us upon arrival & our waiter was friendly & on point from start to finish. Service was great without feeling rushed & his wine suggestion was perfect. The portions are huge so we started with the calamari & Caesar salad which was plenty for all of us & both very good. We chose 4 dishes, Chicken Parmesan, Chicken Scaloppine, Rigatoni & Broccoli, & Penne alla Vodka & all were delicious. We all commnted that the Penne was the best we’d had as the sauce was not too heavy & perfectly spiced. Although we could have only ordered 3 dishes, we all enjoyed the variety of the 4 choices. We finished off with cappuccinos for the table & made it to the theater with 15 minutes to spare. We couldn’t have picked a better restaurant & the bonus was it was very reasonable. We highly recommend Empire Steak House Times Square. We had calamari as a starter and 3 choices of steak - 12 oz filet Mignon, New York strip, and Empire filet Mignon to share between 2. All were cooked as requested. All were delicious as were the sides - asparagus, mushrooms, broccoli, fries and Empire fries. For dessert we had New York cheese cake which was light and fluffy, chocolate ice cream and apple crumble cake. We were treated to a glass of wine as we were celebrating our 30th anniversary. The entire evening was just what I hoped for - great service and a great steak dinner. Would love to repeat the experience.
