Restaurants near Longwood Public Use Area

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Durham, and we’ve done a lot of eating here! Our group tried 10 different plates from across the menu and had several drinks— it’s a rare occasion when NOTHING disappoints!! The service is also great. It’s top notch but not pretentious at all… very fun and knowledgeable. We love Tony the bartender. He had awesome recommendations and was on his game.

We have been to Nana’s a few times and it’s always excellent but tonight was way above and beyond all expectations. We had the Wagyu steak with several sides and the flavors were spot on. Our server was excellent and very attentive and knowledgeable. We always appreciate being able to sit at Nana’s and actually get to have a good conversation because the dining room is never too loud. Overall this was the best meal we’ve had in a very long time.

First time visiting JuJu through friends and family members rave about it. We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, cocktails / cocktails and especially the food before our DPAC show. The staff and servers were awesome and all of the food was creative, unique and delicious. The Bomb a$$ Shrimp was a favorite along with the short rib wontons. Will definitely be back!

Excellent meal. Our party tried the crab cakes, short rib special, salmon special, tenderloin and shrimp carbonara special. Everything was cooked to perfection. The spinach and caramelized onion dip was also terrific. Highly recommend the drive to Oxford for this place.

My husband and I had the best time on Christmas Eve! The food was delicious and our server, Liz, was outstanding!
