I love t visit the restaurant each time I am in Ballater

Lovely meal for my wives birthday today. No sherry for mother in law but minor setback. Staff excellent, food beautiful, with good choices for Sunday lunchtime. Nicely done up and lovely whisky theme in the heart of the industry. One of our local favourites.

We had an absolutely wonderful meal at this establishment. The food is of a very high standard, and the staff are fantastic. cafe 1 never seems to disappoint.

This was my second visit and the food was fantastic! I had a burger with bbq brisket, bacon and burnt pork loin and it was huge! Just about the best burger I can remember having. The soft drinks are really reasonable too. Had the home made (by one of the owners wives) cherry cheesecake and it was fantastic too. Nice service too. Can’t fault the place.

The most delicious main courses, meat cooked to perfection in exquisite sauces and flawless vegetables, topped off by a sumptuous, indulgent dessert. Servers were polite, attentive, but unobtrusive, exactly as they ought to be.
