Skull Creek Dockside Restaurant, dropped its anchor in the Fall of 2017 and forever changed the culinary landscape of the Lowcountry. River House does have a dressy casual dress code consisting of no shorts, flip flops, baseball hats or tank tops in the dining room for the gentlemen. Comparable attire for the ladies. River House corkage policy is a maximum of 3 bottles per reservation without management consent at $35 per bottle. Arrived for the early dinner. We had reserved outdoors seating. We were greeted quickly and orders taken. Our drinks were brought out immediately and bread/salad followed. My husband ordered the prime rib and I ordered the filet topped with crabmeat/hollandaise sauce. Both were spot on! Service was outstanding as well. A wonderful birthday/early Christmas dinner!

Happily surprised with bubbles for two to celebrate my husband’s birthday!! It was a warm welcome for our first visit. Food was excellent (salmon dish and lobster/shrimp carbonara dish) and service was attentive. Decor is simple but the restaurant was full of people and quite festive. A real gem! Excited to return!
