- JjaneYorkshire •6 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoAnother very enjoyable evening all round. Great menu, hard to choose. Lots of tips on drinks to complement food choices. Two of us enjoyed prawns and scallops for starters, crab claw linguine and souffle for mains, we shared cheese and dessert wine for pud. Very efficient and helpful service. Looking forward to the next time!More infoBryn Williams at Porth EiriasPrice: Moderate• Seafood• Colwyn Bay•4.6
- IIanHerefordshire •20 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoAn excellent meal in friendly and comfortable surroundings. My wife’s beetroot soup was the best she has tasted, and the mains of duck breast, imaginatively served with roast beetroot and elderberry jelly, and sea bass on a bed of cauliflower and hazelnut with parsley sauce, were really accomplished cooking. The quiche savarin, which we shared, was equally good. Highly recommended.More infoThe Riverside at AymestreyPrice: Expensive• British• Leominster•4.8
- AAndrewYorkshire •1 review4.0Dined on Nov 29, 2024We planned a weekend break in Dolgellau and Y Sospan was booked two weeks before the trip. We last ate there in September 2023 so being keen to visit again is a strong recommendation. We both wanted the lamb shank and it was outstanding in quality and quantity. It's a really interesting building, the service was excellent, the whole experience just what we hoped for. We did, in fact, return for lunch, without booking, on Saturday as we were keen to give the Cafe Menu a try. It'll be on our wish list anytime we are in North Wales and want a decent meal.More infoY Sospan, Queen's Square, Dolgellau, UKPrice: Moderate• Bistro• Dolgellau•4.3
