Restaurants near Kaupuni Neighborhood Park

Monkeypod is a wonderful restaurant to dine at. I was able to make a last minute reservation on OpenTable and were seated promptly. Our Server was very nice and did a great job. Most of us enjoyed our meals. Their Jalapeño Mashed Potatoes are divine! Menu has lots of options but is pricey. I would have liked to order the Ahi but couldn't rationalize paying $49 for that plate as delicious as it would have been.

We always enjoy going to Roy's. We go for anniversary's, birthdays and once in a while just because. The food is always so good, the service is friendly and relaxing. The staff is so professional yet warm and welcoming. It's the best of the local experience. This time I tried the watermelon, feta, strawberry salad-it's so light and delicious. The watermelon was sweet and juicy-was worried because its January, not watermelon season, but it was perfect. Also had the smaller portion of the grilled salmon with ponzu broth which didn't come with the somen noodles, but our server told me I could get a side of them and I did-immersing it into the broth, and that along with a perfectly grilled salmon, the pickled vegetables made for a wonderful dinner. And you must try the orange chai cheesecake-yes, so good! Roy's has a larger choice of outstanding desserts now-I don't know who their pastry chef is, but they are amazing.

We loved sitting at the bar watching surfing competitions and chatting with John the wonderful bar tender. Food is all excellent!

We came here for a celebration and we're unexpectedly blown away by our experience. A huge thank you to Daniel and Gilberto for going above and beyond. The restaurant has such a gorgeous ambiance - the water trickling in the nearby coi lagoon, the glowing lanterns, the oil lamps, and soft music in the background. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted with congratulations and felt so welcomed. Daniel's knowledge of the menu is so impressive, and I am so grateful for his attention to detail, especially with my severe allergy. I never once had to worry about the dishes. He was very particular about each preparation and transparent about everything. He coursed our dinner wonderfully- from the start with beef carpaccio and foie to the (insanely delicious) and perfectly al dente truffle tagliatelle, all the way through dessert (the Noe Limone is a must), he added special touches that made us feel even more special. Daniel and Gilberto were so easy to talk to; it was a beautiful and enjoyable experience altogether. Thank you for an amazing night! We can't wait to see you next time.
