It turned out to be a good experience overall, though it got off to a rough start. We had reservations for 7:00 PM and requested a booth. I arrived just before 7:00 to check in while my friend went to the restroom. Initially, the host seated me at a booth, but a few minutes later, she came over and asked me to move to a table instead. Once my friend joined me, we waited over 10 minutes before anyone came to our table. Eventually, the waitress brought a basket of bread, which was a nice touch. It was clear she was working hard and the restaurant seemed short-staffed. By the time she returned to take our drink orders, we had already decided on our meal. We ordered a salad to share and the eggplant Parmesan. We requested the dressing on the side, but the salad came pre-dressed. Thankfully, the dressing wasn’t overdone, so we ate it and enjoyed it. When the eggplant Parmesan arrived, it was difficult to cut, and we soon discovered it was burnt underneath. We informed the waitress, and the manager came over to address the issue. They made a new one, and it turned out perfect the second time. Both the manager and the waitress were wonderful throughout the evening, which helped make up for the earlier hiccups. That said, the food prices were noticeably higher than what was listed on OpenTable, with an increase of $1–$4 per dish. While I’d consider going back, it would likely be to share a meal due to the high prices.

Really excellent food. A little pricey. Dinner for my wife and me was $194.

Another enjoyable night out at the Deep Blue! You can’t beat the happy hour specials. Our server Beth was at her best as usual.

This town is so lucky to have this restaurant/bar! Hands down the best bar in town with a great selection and knowledgeable bartenders. It's also beautiful with classic styling. The food on the locally inspired menu is consistently good and can be eaten at the bar or in the large comfortably appointed dining room just past the bar. This is a warm and inviting place and I'm sure ill be back!
